Entry requirements

This programme is aimed at students who have completed the first year of a STAPS Licence and who have acquired scientific and technical skills and knowledge in the field of physical and sports activities, as well as in the organisation and running of these activities.

Benefits of the program

The second-year programme remains versatile and general. It introduces students the different types of further education, their content and their requirements. In addition to management skills, the strengths of the local training programme lie in the teaching of human and managerial sciences.

Acquired skills

The aim of the second-year programme is to build on the skills developed in the first year. It helps students to choose their course of study (education and motor skills, management, health, training, etc.) by specifying the content of the course according to the pathway followed by the students.

Your future career

Students can go on to study for general STAPS Licence degrees (education and motor skills, management, adapted physical activities, training, etc.), or a professional Licence (tourism). The L2 qualification also gives access to a professional card issued by the Ministry of Youth and Sport, enabling the holder to supervise youth sports activities.

Professional integration

Directly: Access to the Ministry of Youth and Sport professional card. After further study: any profession related to sports and leisure activities in terms of management, organisation or promotion.

Major thematics of study

A balanced distribution of fundamental disciplines (social and life sciences) and technical disciplines (didactics and those relating to intervention or organisation) linked to sports and leisure activities.

Work placement in the second semester

Options

L2 students can choose from a range of options. Pre-professional options are compulsory and will enable students to make choices about their subsequent training. Education and Motor Skills prepares students to work in schools and to prepare for competitive exams for teaching. The Management option prepares students for the organisation and management of sports companies. The Adapted Physical Activities option prepares students to supervise physical activities adapted to people with disabilities or seniors. The Water Activities/training option prepares students for performance-oriented sports coaching in aquatic activities. The Tourism option prepares students for the promotion and management of sports tourism. There are also language options (English, Voltaire), preparation for other competitive exams (ENS) and research.
