This teaching covers both information, as a strategic resource for a company, and information systems (all the means enabling the collection, storage, processing and distribution of information). It highlights the issues related to the management of information systems and provides knowledge on the means (technical, organizational, legal, human, ...) mobilized for this purpose. Particular attention is paid to the issue of information system security. An overview of the main digital tools and their uses in environmental services is drawn up and analysed.

This teaching unit is made up of several parts. It uses the example of climate change to show the link between the social, environmental and economic dimensions of sustainable development. It studies scientific controversies in order to bring students to develop a critical distance from the discourse. It also provides basic knowledge of environmental law and economic analysis.

Développement durable & territoires

The teaching unit is organised in three parts. The first part provides the methodological bases for carrying out a global territorial diagnosis oriented towards sustainable development. The second deals with territorial metabolism and shows how knowledge of energy and material flows is a prerequisite for making sustainable development a driving force for action in a territory. The third takes the form of a cross-cutting workshop that associates project management, sustainable development and innovation in environmental services.

This teaching presents and analyses new company statutes that combine profitability with societal and environmental commitment. Examples are studied and compared with the policy implemented by the partner company of the Master's degree. The internal and external factors that encourage companies to engage in this approach are analysed. Methodological elements are also provided in order to design relevant indicators to assess a company's performance in terms of sustainable development.

Both the internal risks of companies (linked to their organisations, strategies, activities, etc.) and the exogenous risks (linked to various hazards or cyclical factors) are addressed in this teaching unit. A first part provides conceptual and methodological knowledge to characterize and assess risks and then build and conduct an overall management strategy (considering in particular the legal and institutional context in force). The second part focuses on the risk management policy of the partner company (organization, actors, tools, approaches, ...).

Management d'équipe & gestion des ressources humaines

This teaching addresses several dimensions. Firstly, it deals with human resources management, through its stakes for the company and its links with labour law (obligations of the employer, relations with social partners, etc.). Secondly, the HRM policy of the partner company is explained. Finally, it presents the different theories of team management and provides analysis grids. Issues such as knowledge management, conflict management or change management are also addressed in the teaching.

This cross-cutting teaching focuses in particular on lessons relating to risk management and corporate social responsibility. It combines three dimensions: quality management, occupational health and safety and environmental management. They provide knowledge on the methods that can be used to conduct and implement a QSE strategy.

STRATEGIE & DEVELOPPEMENT OFFRE DE SERVICE
Droit public et droit des contrats

Environmental services are provided to both public and private clients. This teaching unit covers both public and private law. The section on public law deals more specifically with issues related to the governance of territories (levels, actors, etc.). It provides knowledge on current political, regulatory, institutional, economic and fiscal developments in the territories. It analyses the different types of contracts (public procurement, delegation of public services). The lectures devoted to private law deal with the essential issues raised by private contract law. They lead students to have reflexes of reading and fine analysis of these contracts in order to master the processes of elaboration and implementation (or non-execution), but also to wonder about the strategies to be set up before any litigation.

This teaching allows you to understand the importance of strategic analysis for a company (understanding its environment, its customers, its market, its competitors,...). Développement de l'offre de service

This teaching unit has two parts. The first one deals with marketing and aims at giving students the keys to understanding the customer relationship (public and private), the characterization of its expectations, the construction of an adapted offer (according to a system of constraints), the commercial strategy,... The second part concerns the service offer itself. It provides an overview of the services currently offered to public and private customers (especially industrialists) before opening up to the possible evolution of the offers (in connection with research & development). It also offers a simulation exercise: the construction of a response to a call for tenders and its presentation.

This teaching unit provides training with insight into international practices in environmental services. It allows us to put training into perspective and to question our own models. Its aim is not to compare point by point the differences and similarities between the service offers of various countries, but rather to highlight the key factors that determine their "design" and to highlight practices that are easily transposable, major innovations, etc... It can be deployed according to different modalities (e.g. seminar outside the territory or hosting foreign speakers).

There are many elements that could lead to a transformation of the environmental service offerings. In the context of this teachning, two major factors are being studied: digital technologies (reflected in the Internet of Things, smart cities, smart grids,...) and new economic approaches (such as the collaborative economy, the social and solidarity economy, the economy of functionality, the circular economy). After a precise definition of the concepts used and their foundations (historical, theoretical, ...), this teaching unit is based on examples and experiences (whether successful or not) allowing to question the current and future changes, the constraints encountered and finally the effects (expected and probable) on environmental services.

The Master's thesis is the result of a study and applied research work on a subject (relevant from a training point of view) allowing the academic and professional achievements to be mixed.
