Semester 1

CoursesECTSCMTDTP
Mathématiques
Calcul Différentiel et Intégral

The approach of this course is practical: building on the knowledge acquired in high school, the aim is to apply the basic techniques of analysis. Topics covered: Complex numbers; Common functions; Calculation of limits; Derivation and study of functions; Calculation of integrals; Solving differential equations.

Méthodologie des mathématiques

The aim of this course is to acquire the mathematical method, which is based on the unambiguous definition of concepts, the formulation of conjectures, the statement of mathematical propositions and their demonstration using logic based on more elementary propositions. To achieve this, learning and mastering the language of mathematics (discourse, syntax, objects, variables) is fundamental. In particular, this course consolidates (or introduces) the following notions: rudiments of logic (quantifiers, modes of reasoning), sets, applications, binary relations.

Sciences économiques et sociales
Introduction à l’économie

This course is an introduction to economic analysis. The aim of the course is to present the microeconomic, macroeconomic and historical aspects of economic analysis.

Introduction à la sociologie

The aim is to introduce students to the discipline of sociology, with which economics and management interact. We begin by situating the formation of sociology within a broader panorama of the emergence of the social sciences. We then look at certain aspects of the discipline: how the individual increasingly manifests himself in social functioning, both as a norm and as an expression of demands for recognition of his individuality; how organizations, while needing to formalize and constrain behavior, see the development of informal functioning that is difficult to control; how work, while constantly the object of management efforts to organize, sees employees deploying real work that often differs from prescribed work, and expressing more autonomous expectations with regard to this work.

The teaching of English during the bachelor's degree aims to improve written and oral skills so that students become more autonomous. The aim is to be able to understand and communicate in future professional exchanges, as well as to be able to understand the scientific articles that they may encounter during their studies and/or professional lives. Throughout the bachelor's degree, English courses focus on providing an opening to different cultures in order to encourage exchanges between countries.

Réchauffement climatique, biodiversité, pollutions

Between now and 2050, we face a dual challenge: to act to combat global warming, and to adapt to its consequences. To meet this challenge, we need to understand the issues at stake, identify possible levers of action and quantify the impact of possible solutions. We'll describe how the Earth's climate works, the impact of human activity on climate and biodiversity, the need for an energy transition, and quantify possible individual and collective solutions to mitigate global warming. You'll familiarize yourself with the relevant units and orders of magnitude (kWh, tons of CO2 equivalent, etc.), and make simple practical calculations (how much will sea levels rise if the “Glacier of the Apocalypse” melts?). You'll use a variety of media to build your general knowledge, understanding the notions of information source, information verification and conflict of interest

Microéconomie 1

The general aim of this course in moral and political microeconomics is to provide a pluralistic presentation of the fundamentals of microeconomics, through, for example, the opposition between liberal equilibrium and post-liberal equilibrium of perfect competition, or between the capitalist firm and the self-managed firm. The aim is to develop a critical understanding of basic economic mechanisms, as opposed to their usual scientistic presentation.
