Entry requirements

Target audience: high school graduates. The dual degree program primarily recruits high school graduates who have studied the following subjects in their junior and senior years: history-geography, geopolitics, and political science; economics and social sciences; humanities, literature, and philosophy; mathematics; digital technology and computer science. Good grades are expected in subjects related to the study of social phenomena (economic and social sciences, history-geography, geopolitics and political science, etc.), critical thinking and writing (French, philosophy, etc.). The relevance of the applicant's career and study plans is also a determining factor for admission to the dual degree program and must be clearly stated, particularly in the cover letter submitted as part of the Parcoursup application process. Applicants are expected to demonstrate intellectual curiosity through an interest in diverse schools of thought and other disciplines in the humanities and social sciences, as well as an interest in social, political, and historical issues. Applicants to the dual degree program must be able to do a significant amount of independent work and consolidate the knowledge acquired in class; motivation and work ethic are key factors for success in the program.

This program leads to two bachelor's degrees in three years: a bachelor's degree in sociology and a bachelor's degree in history.

Students develop analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as written and oral communication abilities. Specific methods covered include strengthening historical knowledge, an introduction to social and political anthropology, an in-depth study of sociology and history, and research in both fields.
