Entry requirements
Students who have obtained 180 ECTS credits (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) are able to access the first year of the Master's degree.
The training program takes the form of a sandwich course regardless of student status. 3 statuses are accepted: apprenticeship / continuing training and professionalisation contract / initial training (sandwich placement).
There are two stages to the selection process: a preliminary selection based on applications, then an admission interview after which a selection board announces whether or not the pre-selected candidates have been admitted.
Benefits of the program
The training program accepts a maximum of 30 students per year. Over half of the Master 1 contributors are professionals from the health and social welfare sector.
Acquired skills
The Master 1 skills are divided into 3 blocks containing several subjects:
- basic or theoretical knowledge about the political, economic, social and legal environment.
- management tools for auditing, quality and project management.
- basic tools: IT, statistics and English.
The targeted skills are designed to meet the management skills required by future directors.
Students can choose between two options: health or social welfare.

Schedule of studies
The courses alternate with periods of time spent with a company and
take place between mid-September and the end of June.
Your future career
At the end of the first year of the Master's, the training program offers 3 M2 pathways:
Pathway 1: Social and Solidarity Integration and Entrepreneurship
Pathway 2: Social Protection Engineering and Mutuals
Pathway 3: Health, Healthcare and Social Welfare and Health Pathways
Professional integration
The M1 should be completed by a M2; there are three available (SPE, Mutuals, / HHSW / SSE). Students all have work experience placements throughout their Master's degree.
Study objectives
The M1 year aims to train students to use management tools which are essential in their future positions. They are also introduced to the basics in the three fields covered by the Master 2 (social protection and mutuals / health and healthcare and social welfare / social economy) as well as their specialism option.
