Benefits of the program
After a multi-disciplinary first year (geography, history, sociology) and gradual specialisation from the second year, the L3 Digital Culture and Society pathway provides general training in history, in common with the other pathways, and sound in-depth studies in digital culture and society taught by digital humanities experts.
Acquired skills
This pathway equips students with both general knowledge in the subject area, common to the other L3 pathways, as well as skills which are valued in a large number of industry sectors. Students develop their analytical and critical skills as regards documents and discussions, in particular digital. Emphasis is placed on developing their written and verbal communication skills and on using digital tools effectively. Graduates of this training program are proficient in a wide range of expertise: - knowledge of all historical periods; - concrete and rigorous methods in individual work (documentary research in digital humanities and field surveys); - an introduction to career plans; - expertise in terms of data analysis and summary communication.

Your future career
According to the survey conducted by the OFIPE, 85% of students continue their studies after the Licence. 81% of those who enrolled on a Master's degree course obtained a two-year postgraduate qualification. Students on this pathway can go on to do the Master's in Culture and Web Careers or the Master's in Change Management, Competency and Organisation (MACOR) They can choose other Master's degrees such as those offered at the UPEM: the Master's in History, the Master's in Careers in Teaching, the Master's in Territorial Cultural Development or the Master's in Historical Diagnosis and Urban Development.
Professional integration
The university is a founding member of the PEPITE 3EF. The aim of this scheme is to promote entrepreneurship in students and enable those who have an entrepreneurial project to balance their project and their studies. The UPEM has an entrepreneurship advisor assigned to meet students, support them and offer them a variety of services which we provide, including project maturation workshops, entrepreneurial speed dating, D2E (institution's entrepreneurship diploma) and advice from professional partners.
