Bachelor Arts (en)

Visual studies and digital media arts
Entry requirements
L1 (1st year): Have obtained the Baccalaureate or equivalent for foreign students.
Prerequisite: good writing skills and interest in visual arts and digital technologies.
Benefits of the program
A teaching team made up of lecturer-researchers, artists and professionals
A programme which focuses on image theory and hands-on practice
By specializing gradually over time, students are progressively guided towards choosing visual studies or digital arts.
Possibility to develop a professional project as of the second year, through work placements and supervised projects.
Acquired skills
The skills focused on are divided into two equally-important fields: Visual studies and Digital Media and Arts. The first field prioritizes a diversified theoretical approach to image (history of arts and images, aesthetics, media theory, visual culture) and the second builds on a theoretical and practical approach to digital technologies and arts (theory and hands-on in digital arts, graphic interfaces, interactivity, 3D modelling, web apps, etc.). L3 (3rd year) proposes an option to specialize and to further develop skills in the "Visual Studies" field or in the "Digital Art and Creation" field.
Skills are acquired, on an equal basis, through creating and producing digital projects and through academic writing work as well as oral presentation.
