Entry requirements

The course is intended for graduates with the Baccalaureate + 2 years of higher education in the following specializations: BTS Layout and production of the Architectural Environment, BTS Space Design, BTS Wood Manufacturing, BTS in Building, BTS in Layout and Finishing, DUT civil engineering and construction

The course also aimed at an audience of students with a level of second year (L2) Sciences, Economy or Management, or equivalent, motivated for upgrade the specificities of the Layout and production of the Architectural Environment.

During the construction phase, the layout designer must draw up the file of construction drawings for all building trades, award construction contracts, define the works chedule, manage the risk prevention plans and check and validate all documents and files submitted to him or her for approval (construction drawings, samples, etc.). The layout designer steers and manages the phase where construction is carried out on the site and accepted. As works coordinator, the layout manager must have good organizational and teamwork skills. He/She must know how to negotiate with customers and sub-contractors. He/She must also know how to draft documents and negotiate prices, know the latest building techniques, and be proficient in drawing and design and the use of industry software.

Study organization

La formation est dispensée en alternance et en initial.
- En alternance : 17 semaines de formation en centre de formation et 35 semaines de stage obligatoire en entreprise du milieu professionnel concerné.
- En initial : 17 semaines de formation en centre de formation et 16 semaines de stage minimum obligatoire en entreprise du milieu professionnel concerné.
Les périodes de formation sont au nombre de 4 : une première période de 4 semaines intégrant une semaine de prérentrée et 3 semaines de formation. Après les 10 semaines de stage en entreprise, l'alternance formation/stage est approximativement de 4 semaines. Les projets tuteurés sont donnés en début de deuxième période de formation et sont étudiés et tuteurés jusqu'à la fin de la dernière période de formation. Ils sont soutenus à la fin de la dernière période de formation. Les stages sont soutenus à la fin de la période de stage.

La Licence professionnelle met en partenariat plusieurs entités :
- l'IFIS (Université Gustave Eiffel) assure la coordination générale de la licence, les enseignements généraux, le suivi des mémoires professionnels et l'organisation des jurys.
- La Chambre Française de l'Agencement (relevant de la Fédération Française du Bâtiment) assure l'interface avec la profession : propose des postes d'apprentis dans les entreprises, des enseignants émanant de ce secteur professionnel, propose l'adaptation des enseignements et participe aux jurys.
- le CFA Descartes assure le suivi de l'apprentissage (visites en entreprises), du livret de l'apprentissage, des formalités administratives de l'apprentissage en relation avec les entreprises d'accueil des apprentis.
