Professional Bachelor CAREERS IN THE CONSTRUCTION SECTOR - ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE OF BUILDINGS

Performance énergétique et environnementale des bâtiments
Entry requirements
DUT-GTE (Thermal and Energy Engineering Technology University Diploma), DUT-GCCD (Civil Engineering - Sustainable Building Technology University Diploma), BTS-FED (Fluids, Energy, Domotics Advanced Technician's Certificate)
Benefits of the program
The Professional energy and environmental performance of buildings (PEEB) Degree is in line with the latest regulatory changes and puts objectives for 2020 and beyond into perspective. This training, drawing on the wealth and experience of teaching and professional teams, has a strong foothold in the professional environment. The programme, developed with professionals, focuses resolutely on acquiring the building knowledge required for carrying out energy diagnoses and audits, on energy monitoring in new and existing buildings, on drafting recommendations for reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
Acquired skills
Technical skills with good knowledge of a building's shell (envelope) and energy systems, so as to be able to technically and economically propose and debate efficient, sustainable energy solutions, including renewable energy, to create, implement, manage and monitor building work, to carry out energy diagnoses and audits and to propose installation enhancements. Skills in management and organization, to inform and heighten project owner and public awareness to rational energy solutions.

Study objectives
The Professional energy and environmental performance of buildings (PEEB) Degree is designed to ensure graduates are employed rapidly in positions in the field of energy and environmental performance of buildings.
The educational objective is to address technical and regulatory knowledge in the fields of energy and environmental impact management. This knowledge aims at ensuring graduates may apply for positions in the public and private sectors and, as such, take on a myriad of jobs related to the building sector. Very close ties exist with the professional environment as the course is a sandwich course and there is a high percentage of professionals in the teaching team.
The recruitment objective is twofold:
- to promote access for students from energy and building courses, in particular from the establishment's DUT-GTE (Thermal and Energy Engineering Technology University Diploma) with a Degree level technological pathway (PTGL).
- to enable students retraining due to a career change, and motivated by building-applied energy professions, are integrated.
The presence of teaching staff comprising professionals greatly helps attain this objective.
Major thematics of study
- building shell (envelope) knowledge
- energy applied to building, thermal energy of premises
- traditional (HVAC) and new (RE) energy systems
- building-applicable regulations
- use of business-specific software (building modelling)
- energy and environmental performance level calculations
Study organization
