Entry requirements
The professional degree is for students from initial second-year undergraduate diploma programmes: BTS (Higher Technician Certificate) in Fashion or second- and third-year undergraduate diplomas in Applied Arts. It is not open to students from BTS (Higher Technician Certificate) or degrees in Fashion Management.
Benefits of the program
Partnership with ESAA Duperré, France's most prestigious applied arts for fashion school. Access to ESAA's facilities and dual student card. Course teaching focuses on three areas: artistic culture, professional techniques, 12- to 24-week in-company placement, all of these converging through the development of a tutored project which will be assessed by professionals then presented during the School's exhibition vernissage.
Acquired skills
Technical and professional skills: Knowledge about fabrics, textiles, techniques, creation and confection processes, computer tools.
Cultural skills: knowledge about the history of art, aesthetics and techniques for spatial exhibition set-up. Good command of English.
Marketing, entrepreneurship environment and ethical and sustainable production skills: knowledge of the way various fashion businesses operate (luxury and mass production) as well as of principles and techniques used in ethical and sustainable production.
Registration details
eCandidat + envoi obligatoire d'un dossier visuel (10 feuilles A4 recto ou 5 recto-verso). Une première sélection est faite sur ces dossiers. Les candidats retenus suivent alors la seconde phase de présentation physique de leurs travaux déjà réalisés. Ces entretiens se déroulent dans les locaux de l'École Duperré. Il leur est conseillé d'apporter le maximum de pièces et dessins ou documents graphiques préparatoires possible. Les candidats ont 15/20mns d'installation puis le jury d'admission (Duperré-Gustave EIFFEL) examine les pièces présentées et pose des questions pendant une dizaine de minutes.

At the end of this Professional Degree, graduates may move into the following professions:
Fashion designer (clothing, accessories, surface, fashion communication), in a studio, as a freelancer or in-house.
Study objectives
The key purpose of this course is to ensure students put the knowledge they acquired during the BTS (Advanced Technician's Certificate) into practice in the creative activity of professional designer. Students must have learned to work with others, to manage their projects taking external technical contribution into account, to present it and to "sell" it as well as to reflect on its design, its intention, its public and the conditions for exploiting it economically.
In-depth knowledge of fabrics, textiles and techniques will enable students to develop the skills required for designing and confectioning collections, and/or communicating on these collections.
Learning how to coordinate and work together in a project will directly pave the way for entering professional life.

Le volume horaire global pour un étudiant est de 461h : dont 190h de cours théoriques, 60h de cours de perfectionnements pratiques portant sur des techniques additionnelles, 45h de laboratoire de création (réalisation de projets en collaboration), 145h de projet tuteuré, ce à quoi s'ajoutent 6h d'aide à la rédaction des rapports de projet et de stage, et 15h d'aide à la finition du projet. La période de stage est de 12 semaines (minimum pour la validation) à 24 semaines, et se situe entre début janvier et fin juin. Les cours théoriques et le laboratoire de création sont concentrés dans la première période allant de septembre à décembre. Les cours ont lieu dans les locaux de l'ESAA Duperré et peuvent se dérouler éventuellement en alternance. Ils se déroulent entre début septembre et fin juin. Les projets tuteurés sont soutenus devant un jury de professionnels (auquel ne participe aucun des enseignants) à la fin du mois de septembre juste avant la rentrée de la promotion suivante. Le rapport de stage est soutenu en fin de période de stage (juin) et le rapport de projet est déposé avant la soutenance afin d'être consulté par le jury. Les projets tuteurés donnent lieu à un vernissage en nocturne dans les locaux de l'ESAA Duperré.

A great choice of placements exist abroad, in particular in the UK, USA and Italy (clothing), in India (embroidery), in Germany (mesh), etc. Each year hosts at least one or two foreign students (out of 26). Partnerships with Japan are currently being explored.
Partenariats :
La licence professionnelle met en partenariat plusieurs entités : L'Université de Paris Est Marne-la-Vallée (UPEM), qui assure la coordination administrative de la licence et l’organisation des jurys ; l'Ecole Duperré qui assure les enseignements. L’école encadre les projets tuteurés, participe aux jurys et au choix des professionnels du jury de projets et assure la coordination de l’ensemble de la formation pour la partie technique notamment ; le CFA, qui assure le suivi des apprentis s'il y en a, du livret de l’apprentissage, des formalités administratives de l’apprentissage en relation avec les entreprises d’accueil des apprentis.
