Entry requirements
This course is for Bachelor's graduates with three languages including French (language A) and English (language B) and German or Spanish (language B), as well as a solid all-round education and writing skills. It mainly accepts students from the LEA (Applied Foreign Languages) and LLCER (Language, Literature and Foreign and Regional Civilisations) pathways, but is open to any Bachelor's graduates who pass the admission tests (two sessions : mid-June and beginning of September).
Benefits of the program
The course focuses on professional translation practice in all its forms. 50% of the classes are taught by translation professionals from different careers and fields. 2-month minimum internship in M1. Apprenticeship/ sandwich course in M2 following a work/study programme.
Acquired skills
A perfect command of French, fluent stylish writing, proficiency in two foreign languages. A knowledge of the culture of the countries of the working languages, ability to adjust your manner and your written and spoken language. A knowledge of the basics of law, economics, finance and one or more technical or scientific fields. The ability to select information sources. The ability to handle terminology tools. The ability to use translation software. The ability to work in a team and/or under tight deadlines, know and comply with applicable quality standards and ethical guidelines.

Schedule of studies
In M1: 2 periods including 12 weeks of lessons, 1 week of revisions, 1 week of examination. In M2 two periods alternating 6 weeks of lessons and 6 weeks in company, 2.5 days of revision, 1 week of examination.

The majority of graduates of the Master's in Translation and Interpreting, Specialist Translation pathway are self-employed. Study organization
Rentrée : dernier lundi de septembre (M1), deux semestres de 12 semaines de cours, suivis chacun d'une semaine de révisions et d'une semaine d'examens. Stage en entreprise à partir de mi-mai, deux mois minimum (M2), en alternance/apprentissage*, deux périodes de 12 semaines (alternance 1 semaine entreprise/1 semaine université) puis apprentissage en entreprise pour la durée du contrat.

Options
Deux combinaisons linguistiques "anglais/espagnol" et "anglais/allemand". En M2 parcours "traduction spécialisée" (post-édition, localistion) ou option "informatique linguistique".
International
Les étudiants qui n'ont pas passé au moins un semestre à l'étranger avant leur entrée en master participent à un des programmes de mobilité internationale dans le cadre des accords internationaux dont bénéficie la formation et/ou effectuent le stage de M1 à l'étranger (2 mois minimum). La mise en place de l'apprentissage ne permet pas de mobilité étudiante pour les étudiants de M2. Principaux programme de mobilité : ERASMUS (Universidad de Alicante, Universidad Complutense- Madrid, Universidad de Granada, Universidad Pompeu Fabra- Barcelone, Université de Zurich), programme MICEFA (Glendon Collège, York University), programme CREPUQ (universités de Montréal et de Sherbrooke), convention bilatérales avec le Pérou, Universidad Ricardo Palma.

Partenariats :
Le master est membre de l'Association Française des Formations Universitaires aux Métiers de la Traduction. Il participe aux travaux du réseau européen de master de traduction EMT. Concernant les stages et contrats d'apprentissage, des partenariats solides sont noués avec de nombreuses entreprises et organismes : Telelingua, Technicis, Wordshop, Dubbing Brothers, SDL, Tradivarius, Textra, le Cleiss, Médecins du Monde, etc.
