National Master's Degree

Informatique
Entry requirements
The course is open to students under the age of 30 with two years of higher education (Bac+2) in line with the course content. This can either be a Technical University Diploma (DUT) (Computer Science, Networks and Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering and Industrial Computing, Careers in Multimedia and the Internet), a two year technical qualification (BTS) (Computer Science and Networks for Industry and Services, Computer Systems for Business), a two-year degree (IT), or an equivalent qualification.
Once an apprenticeship contract has been signed, acceptance the course is final and the CFA Ingénieurs 2000 will help you to find a company from its 700 partners.
At the end of your first year, you will choose between one of the three options (Geomatics, Software, Networks). This choice needs to correspond with the practical needs of the company.
Benefits of the program
The teaching used in the course places apprentices in situations where they are learning, understanding and acting on their own, in pairs or in project teams. For example, the “Last Project" in the 3rd year enables teams of 5 or 6 students to examine, specify and design a solution to a real that is problem troubling a customer or a company. The final 5 weeks are solely dedicated to developing this solution using Agile modelling. It is also possible to spend a semester abroad in 3rd year. The complementary skills acquired both at the company and in class mean that in three years, apprentices can graduate as operational engineers with 18 months of work experience.
Acquired skills
Analysing, modelling and structuring functional problems in order to design, develop and put in place software and systems which address these issues.D10.
You will need to include specific courses relating to your chosen option:
[GEOMATICS option] Geographic information system (acquisition, processing and distribution of geolocated data);
[SOFTWARE option] advanced techniques for designing, developing and rolling out software applications;
[NETWORK option] advanced architecture and technology for computer networks, core networks, local networks, for both wireless and non-wireless devices.
Proposing, explaining, justifying and negotiating relevant technical solutions in these fields.
Becoming an expert in managing and leading projects in these fields, as well as implementing and operating them. B11.

Schedule of studies
The duration of study and work periods gradually increases over the 3 year course. In the first year, it starts with one month of study followed by one month in the company, then 2 months, and then 3 months. In the second year, you will do two rotations of 3 months in the company and 3 months studying. In the third year, you will spend 6 months studying then 6 months in the company. During this final period, you will create a large-scale project which will be the basis of your engineering thesis.
Your future career
A computer engineer designs, develops and implements IT applications that are adapted to the needs of a company or organisation. By listening to customers as well as industry specialists, a computer engineer integrates performance, reliability and security parameters into their functional and technical choices. This allows them to create applications that are consistent with the systems and infrastructure that they are working with. With strengths in both operational and pragmatic proposition and innovation, an engineer has technical expertise as well as project management skills. 100% of 2013 graduates had a job 30 months after graduating (source: OFIPE) and the average gross annual starting salary for 2016 graduates was €36,000 (ESIPE survey).
