Entry requirements
The course is reserved for students with a high school diploma preferably in science, economics and social science or management sciences and technology, but does not exclude students from less conventional pathways. The student's career plan (personal statement required as part of the application) is a determining factor in the admission process.
Benefits of the program
The course is offered as a co-operative education, apprenticeship or professional contract (the student spends one week at the UIT and one week within the company alternately). The students may take the TOEIC exam at the UIT. Students complete a project supervised by a tutor over approximately 12 months on a "managerial" or "entrepreneurial" theme. Students have one-to-one supervision to help them form their study and/or career plans.
Acquired skills
The "Human Resource Management" BMPA DUT enables students to perform personnel administration processes (pay, personnel management, personnel administration management, training, etc.), participate in setting up management processes and tools for staff and skills (workforce dashboards, preparation for work relations negotiation, etc.) contribute to the development of HR management diagnoses.

Applicants must state their choices using the ParcourSup Admission Procedure ONLY between 20 January and 20 March and submit a course application pack. Applicants are admitted after a review of the application, a pre-selection interview and applicant confirmation on ParcourSup.

Your future career
After the BMPA DUT option HRM, students either continue with long-term studies (Bachelor's and Master's degrees, School of Business and Management, schools specialising in HR, etc.) or short-term studies (Professional degree), or prefer to enter the labour market. The co-operative education and supervised project bring students a deep knowledge of the business world, which is highly valued by companies and academic institutions.
Professional integration
L’option « Gestion des Ressources Humaines » (GRH) propose une ouverture à la dimension humaine du management. L’étudiant peut assumer des
responsabilités afférentes à la gestion du personnel, participer au développement d’outils et de méthodes de gestion
des emplois et des compétences, contribuer au diagnostic social de l’organisation ou encore gérer des systèmes de
paie.
L’ensemble des métiers de la gestion des ressources humaines sont ouverts à l’étudiant ayant suivi cette formation :
administrateur du personnel, chargé de formation ou de recrutement, gestionnaire de paie, chargé des relations
avec le personnel.
Ces métiers se retrouvent dans les références suivantes : assistant ressources humaines (fiche ROME 1501) ou
assistant développement ressources humaines (fiche ROME 1502). C’est pour l’UPEM une façon de poursuivre le développement de l’apprentissage dans ses formations tous en répondant aux objectifs d’intégration des diplômés du Bac issus des filières STMG.

Study objectives
Le département GEA a pour vocation de donner aux étudiants les connaissances et compétences indispensables au domaine de la gestion des entreprises et des administrations.
Le DUT GEA est une formation généraliste en gestion, dont l’objectif est de former des gestionnaires polyvalents capables d’initiatives et d’autonomie au sein des entreprises et administrations.
Cette formation permet à la fois l’insertion professionnelle et les poursuites d’études.
Le DUT GEA se déroule sur 2 ans (quatre semestres) avec un volume horaire de 1600 heures d’enseignement. Deux stages sont réalisés, le premier de 4 semaines (minimum) à la fin du S2 et le second de 10 semaines (minimum) à la fin du S4.
Les cours sont assurés en groupe de 26 étudiants. Le corps enseignant est composé d’enseignants universitaires et d’intervenants professionnels.
L’évaluation des connaissances se fait en contrôle continu, ainsi que par la rédaction et la soutenance de mémoires. La formation prépare ses étudiants à poursuivre leurs études dans les domaines de la gestion. Ils pourront alors postuler pour : - une licence générale en vue d'un Master (leur cursus initial spécialisé RH les conduit à privilégier les formations à dominante RH sans que cela les prive de candidater sur des cursus plus généraux de gestion) -, une école spécialisée RH.

Study organization
L'enseignement est axé sur la formation théorique et la polyvalence des enseignements technologiques et professionnels.Les étudiants inscrits sont sous le régime du contrôle continu et d'un encadrement strict des conditions d'absence. Les cours, et la présence validée par feuille d'émargement, sont obligatoires. Tous les étudiants de 1ère année (Semestre 1 et Semestre 2) qui suivent la formation GEA en Formation Initiale à Meaux sont divisés en quatre groupes de +/- 28 étudiants. En deuxième année, les élèves se spécialisent dans un domaine de gestion : ils sont orientés en option G.R.H. si les résultats obtenus répondent aux attentes pédagogiques de l'option. Le parcours de deuxième année permet d'orienter les apprentissages (poursuite d'étude, insertion professionnelle, approfondissement technologique). L'enseignement est assuré par des professeurs titulaires et des intervenants extérieurs (professionnels de l'entreprise ou professeurs de métier). Les stages sont obligatoires. Part majeure du cursus de formation, ils doivent être réalisés dans les domaines de l'option et servent à valider le choix professionnel et/ou le choix de poursuite d'études. Un rapport de stage doit être rendu à la fin de chaque période de stage et une soutenance finale permet de valider la 2ème année.

International
Possibilité d'effectuer le semestre 4 et/ou le stage de fin d'étude à l'étranger. Les pays concernés - à ce jour - pour les étudiants du département GEA sont :- Le Canada, collègede Rosemont (francophone) et le collège de Dawson (anglophone).- L'Espagne à San Sébastien et aux Îles Canaries (études en espagnol).- L'Écosse (possibilité d'effectuer une troisième année équivalente à une licence reconnue internationalement financée par le SAAS : l'État écossais).- La Lituanie (anglophone).Les étudiants pourront également accéder au DUETI en fonction des accords &partenariats en vigueur.
