Bachelor Engineering sciences

L1 Sciences pour l'ingénieur
Entry requirements
Former Bac S (specialty Mathematics or Physics-Chemistry) or new General Bac (the required specialties are Mathematics and Physics-Chemistry, the option Mathematics Expert is strongly recommended). We are working on the integration of graduates STI2D. Various recruitment of bachelors (foreign baccalaureate, by Campus France)
Benefits of the program
The first year is sufficiently general to allow orientation towards the end of the year towards the various courses of the SPI (or even Physics-Chemistry) license. Options are offered in the second semester to customize the training. The first year is a year of transition with the high school, with a pedagogy adapted, in groups of 30 to 35 (without amphitheater).
Acquired skills
Analysis of a technical problem: clear presentation of the analysis of a problem, and the ways chosen to solve it.
Mastery of the mathematics and physics tools corresponding to the SPI disciplinary field (adapted to each of the three courses).
Work from specifications, extraction of information from technical documents, manipulation of units and orders of magnitude, use of various digital media
Use and choice of a suitable software tool: Many Practical Work aimed at mastering simulation software - team work (binomials / trinomials in practical work, transversal projects, with oral defenses, professional culture)
Expression techniques, oral communication
Calendar management of a project, work in autonomy, different modes of evaluation
Practice of English (groups of levels in license, passage of the TOEIC in Master, practice of the English oriented company).
Registration details
Procédure Parcoursup. Bac général scientifique (enseignements de spécialités Mathématiques et/ou Physique chimie et/ou SI). Nous travaillons également à l'intégration des bacheliers STI2D ou STL ainsi qu'à certains bac pro.

Your future career
After a first year together with the Bachelor's degree in Physics and Chemistry, students continue in the second year of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Sciences. Four courses are offered in the second year: Industrial Engineering (IM), Urban Engineering (GU), Organization Engineering (IO) and Engineering for the Environment (GPE). A work on the choices of orientation is carried out during the first year to help the student to form his personal project. After their third year, the vast majority of the students of the SPI or Physique-Chimie degree are pursuing a Master's degree or an engineering school.
Professional integration
The vast majority of graduates pursue training in the field of SPI (masters, engineering schools), and then work in companies (large groups or SMEs).
Graduates very quickly find an outlet in the various professions targeted by the training (see the statistics on www.u-pem.fr/ofipe/)
Study objectives
The SPI license is designed so that each student builds a base of general knowledge (Common Core), completed by a specific course. Each student acquires basic knowledge in core subjects (mathematics, physics and computer science) and disciplinary knowledge differentiated from the 3rd semester.
The SPI license is characterized by the heterogeneity and varied provenance of its incoming students, but aims to give future graduates, at the end of L3, common knowledge and skills: disciplinary skills, but also pre-professional, transversal and linguistic. The student thus specifies his professional project.
