Entry requirements
The second year of the Master's degree is open to students who have validated 240 ECTS in training courses in urban planning, architecture, geography, political science, sociology, law, etc. Admission is made after examination of the application file, a written test and an interview. The knowledge and skills expected at the beginning of the course cover the fundamentals of urban planning (disciplinary approaches, methodologies, understanding of the urban organisation issues); level C1 of French for foreign students.

Co-accredited training between two universities (Université Gustave Eiffel and Université Paris-Est Créteil - UPEC),
Demand-driven training: a pedagogy focused on the practical workshop and all other forms of concrete production of student. The program of academic (fundamental) or expert-centred interventions is defined according to the needs encountered during the activities. A programme organised around a group of around fifteen students supervised by 5 to 6 teachers throughout the year. Attention is paid to the progressive assessment by students of skills in a professional situation.

Carry out urban planning and development actions by assuming a strong interdependence between the planning, design and management of development processes.

Based on the Applicant's country of residence, applications are to be done online, through the eCandidate portal (Université Gustave eiffel), or through the Campus France (Etudes en France) portal.

Schedule of studies
Internship: February to August. Return to the EUP for 4 to 5 weeks at the end of the professional internship, to enable the acquired skills to be collectively valued, in connection with the host organisations.
Your future career
This Master training is designed for urban project managers in the public and private sectors of urban development. These professions relate to specific functions within various organisations: public and para-public operators (public institutions, large institutions, local public companies), private groups, consulting firms positioned to assist project manager, particularly those specialised in programming but also in urban project management, local authorities and inter-communal structures, and non governmental actors.
A doctoral degree is nevertheless possible.
Professional integration
The professions for which the programme prepares are the traditional one in town planning and urban development (design, planning, strategy, consulting, service management, etc.). A doctoral degree is possible.
Study objectives
The programme trains students to the new professional skills expected in the formulation, implementation and management of urban projects. On the basis of constant professional simulation students should be able to explore, develop and implement solutions adapted to changing urban spaces.

Study organization
Le pilotage de la formation sera assuré par l'équipe pédagogique du parcours, composée de cinq à six enseignant.es et incluant à la fois des enseignant.es statutaires et professionnel.les associé.es. L'évaluation de l'acquisition des connaissances et compétences par les étudiant.es sera organisée au cours de chaque semestre, et s'appuiera sur des épreuves écrites et orales en lien avec les différents projets à traiter par les étudiant.es. En outre, la grille de compétences élaborées au sein de l'EUP sera mobilisée pour suivre de manière plus progressive l'acquisition des compétences par les étudiant.es.

The EUP Master's degree is closely linked to the scientific activities developed in three laboratories that constitute the main research supports of the training: the Lab'Urba, the LATTS and the LVMT.

La formation repose sur des partenariats avec des collectivités locales et différents acteurs de l'aménagement et de l'urbanisme tant pour les ateliers que pour des projets de plus petites ampleurs, sur lesquels les étudiant.es travailleront tout au long du parcours.
