Entry requirements

The Master's programme is open to graduates of business schools, engineering schools, IEP or other M1 programmes who can demonstrate a sufficient level of knowledge in economics and management.

 

Selection is on the basis of an application, then an interview with the teaching team.

Training programme entirely in English, which involves both economics and management.

 

“Professional” pathway: with a work placement followed by a dissertation.

 

“Research” pathway: with a research dissertation with enhanced mentoring, enabling students to go on to do a thesis.

 

Input from representatives from the social and professional fields participating in the training programme and working in international project management and the economic analysis of developing countries. Field mission enabling students to apply the skills they have acquired in project management.

Acquired skills

The Master's degree aims to provide students with the necessary skills in project management and economic expertise. While the M1 programme provides fundamental knowledge of economics, mainly international and development economics, the M2 programme enables students to deepen their knowledge of economics and international project management techniques.

International

The Master’s programme also benefits from agreements with around twenty universities in Europe and the rest of the world. It is referenced by Campus France.

Your future career

The Master's in International Economics leads to employment opportunities as an economic expert, consultant or project manager, in international organisations or national state agencies but also in NGOs which operate in developing countries, or multinational companies or consultancies. It also enables students to undertake a PhD thesis at the university (subject to having taken the research dissertation option in M2 and undertaken a research placement at Université Gustave Eiffel or UPEC).

Professional integration

Over 80% of graduates of the Master's in International Economics find a job in less than 6 months, as an economic expert consultant or project manager.

Study objectives

The Master's 2 in International Economics aims to prepare managers who wish to find a job as a project manager or economic expert in multinational companies, consultancy firms, NGOs or national state agencies working in the field of aid for emerging or developing countries, NGOs, multinational companies or consultancies.

International and development economics, project management, international management and impact assessment.

Calendar

M2 courses in the first semester take place between September and February.

 

In March, students complete their field mission.

 

From April to September, students are required to complete a 4-6 month work placement.

 

Dissertations are defended in September.

Options

The Master's programme includes a core curriculum. At the beginning of the year, students can choose a pathway focusing on site impact assessment or a sustainable development project management pathway. Although the Master's programme has a professional focus, it also offers the opportunity to pursue a career in research.
