Acquired skills

Students on this pathway tend to pursue studies with a social or environmental Master's (and professions). They consolidate their sociology knowledge and conduct collective and individual surveys. They enhance their writing, synthesising and analysing abilities.

Your future career

Students on this pathway tend to pursue studies with a Master's related to social policies (social intervention, prevention, etc.), environmental policies or risk management. They may also pursue studies with a Master's degree in Change Management and Sociology of Human Resources, Corporate Communication and Social Media, or other Social Sience degrees.

Study objectives

The 3rd-year Sociology Social and Environmental Policy Professions pathway is designed as a continuum of the two previous years. Lectures and tutorials ensure students broaden their knowledge. A dissertation is produced during the year on a subject of choice, and it is based on a survey which the student has personally carried out. Other group surveys are also carried out in the third year.

Calendar

The first semester covers the period from the end of September to the Christmas holidays. The first three weeks are devoted to the first semester exams, to the examination panels and enrolment for the second semester.

 

The second semester runs from the end of January to mid-June, including the exam and examination panel periods. A work placement is possible.
