Benefits of the program
After a first multidisciplinary year (geography, history, sociology) and progressive specialisation from the 2nd year, the L3 Digital Societies and Cultures pathway offers general training in history, common to the other pathways, and in-depth studies in digital societies and cultures delivered by specialists in digital humanities.
Acquired skills
This pathway equips students with both general knowledge in the subject area, common to other L3 pathways, as well as skills which are valued in a large number of industry sectors. Students are encouraged to develop their skills in analysing and critiquing documents and holding debates, particularly on digital issues. Emphasis is placed on developing skills in written and oral expression and mastering digital tools. Graduates of this training programme are proficient in a wide range of expertise: - knowledge on all historical periods; - concrete and rigorous methods in individual work (documentary research into digital humanities and field surveys); - an introduction to career plans; - expertise in terms of data analysis and summary communication.

Under Erasmus+ partnerships, Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg, the University of Granada, the “Alma Mater Studiorum” University of Bologna, the University of Padova, the University of Aveiro, the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza”University, the University of Bucharest, the National Technical University of Athens and the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague are key partners.

Your future career
According to the survey conducted by the OFIPE, 85% of students continue their studies after the Licence. 81% of those who enrolled on a Master's degree course obtained a two-year postgraduate qualification. Students following this pathway can pursue their studies with the Master’s in Cultures and Professions of the Web or in Change Management and Sociology of Human Resources. They can choose other Master’s programmes such as those offered at Gustave Eiffel: Master's in History, Master's in in Careers in Teaching, Master's in Territorial Cultural Development or Master's in Historical Diagnosis and Urban Planning.
Professional integration
The university is a founding member of PEPITE 3EF. The purpose of this scheme is to promote entrepreneurship among students and enable those with an entrepreneurial project to reconcile their project and their studies. Université Gustave Eiffel has an entrepreneurship adviser, whose mission is to meet students, support them and offer them the many services we provide: project maturation workshops, entrepreneurial speed dating, D2E (entrepreneurship setup degree), advice from professional partners, etc.
