Entry requirements

This course is designed for professionals in supervisory roles or with transversal responsibilities in healthcare, social or welfare facilities who do not have a management degree. It is aimed in particular at healthcare professionals in nursing, medico-technical fields, rehabilitation and midwifery.

Benefits of the program

The course equips professionals without a management degree with the necessary skills to manage units in the healthcare and/or welfare sector. Teaching is provided by academics and professionals.

Acquired skills

The aim of the course is to develop the skills needed to supervise and manage units in health, social or medico-social facilities.

 

These skills cover both management and the legal and regulatory requirements of careers in health and the healthcare and social welfare sector.

Your future career

At the end of the course, graduates hold managerial positions in healthcare, social or welfare facilities.

 

Students who achieve more than 14/20 in the dissertation and have at least three years of experience in team management can apply for the “Health, Healthcare and Social Welfare and Treatment Pathways” programme of the second-year Social and Solidarity Economy Master’s, in partnership with the Ile-de-France Institute of Service Engineering of Université Gustave Eiffel.

Professional integration

Our graduates go on to work as unit managers, coordinating midwives, unit directors, coordinating nurses, etc.

Study objectives

The course objectives are the following:

 

• Understand the challenges of managing a healthcare unit.

 

• Understand the medico-economic challenges of changes in the healthcare and medico-social sectors.

 

• Adopt a project management methodology and an involved approach to project management.

 

• Master the essential tools and methods of management, team leadership and human resources management.

 

• Optimise one’s approach as part of a continuous quality improvement policy.

Major thematics of study

The degree covers two major areas: management and knowledge of the regulatory framework for the healthcare sector. The teaching on management includes project management, management techniques and team leadership and human resources management. The particularities of the healthcare sector are addressed through healthcare economics, quality, responsibility and ethics. By the end of the course, participants acquire the necessary knowledge for supervising and managing units.

Calendar

In-person teaching is organised into 28 days of 7 hours, i.e. 196 hours, divided into 7 blocks, from October to May.

 

Classes are held at Sainte Anne Form@tion, with three days at the Ile-de-France Institute of Service Engineering of Université Gustave Eiffel.

 

Work placement: 4 days of 7 hours each (28 hours) between January and March.
